Model 336 Cs Lever Action Rifle What Year Was The Cross Bolt Safety Added To The Marlin Model 336 Lever Action Carbine?

What year was the cross bolt safety added to the Marlin model 336 lever action carbine? - model 336 cs lever action rifle

I have a Marlin 336 CS, 35 Remington Caliber, I intend to sell, and told an arms dealer allegedly well informed at least 1985 or a newer model as it was when he started with this kind of security Marlin. I am sure you have this gun a long time before 1980. Can anyone tell me if the safety pin of the Cross has happened to these weapons have?

In fact, here is a link to the de-coding Marlin serial number from the year of manufacture .......

"Since 1973, the year is the production would have been determined by subtracting the first two digits of the serial number 100: Example: SN 2512345, made in 1975 [100 - 25 = 75].

To check the memory again. I bought an identical one in 1985 and was promoted crossbolt security sold as well. It was for me.
